I too was disappointed. Like you Pam I didn't go until the
afternoon as it was only by chance that I found out that it
was on.

I think it's worth giving it more time. True, this was not
the event of the year, but it's early days.

It seems that week two was even more of a let down. The 
weather was awful which is a shame. It will never take off 
though if the stalls aren't there in the first place.
